Their undercover investigations reveal transnational wildlife and forest crimes, and they strive to protect global marine ecosystems from threats such as plastic pollution, bycatch, and the commercial exploitation of marine mammals. They gather and analyse data on seizures, arrests, and prosecutions to map the scale of these crimes. Using dashboards and maps, they track smuggling and trafficking hotspots and routes and link key individuals and networks involved in these illicit activities. Our client is looking for a Data Manager to join their Intelligence and Investigation unit (I&I). The ideal candidate will excel in using Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Automate to manage and analyse data. Strong problem-solving skills are essential to design and implement new processes and solutions for future data challenges. The Data Manager will oversee the management of intelligence and crime data, ensuring best practices in data storage, cleansing, and analysis. You will provide technical support and troubleshooting for Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint lists. What you will do: Maintain and update the Global Environmental Crime Tracker tool using Power BI and Power Apps. Oversee the I&I unit's data automation workflows with Power Automate. Manage the intelligence data storage for efficient analysis. Design and develop new processes and solutions for data management. Lead and manage project activities, including trackers, work plans, and monitoring and evaluation reports. Liaise with stakeholders on data requirements and analysis needs. Contribute to their long-term strategic planning and Theory of Change process. What you will bring: Proficiency in Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint lists. Knowledge of data quality approaches, data modelling, and storage. Understanding of data security issues and risks. Proven experience in implementing technical solutions.
