Job summary Garden House Hospice Care are looking for a full to part time Medical Consultant in palliative medicine to join our multi-award winning hospice. We are Garden House Hospice Care, the Hospice for North Hertfordshire. We are a multi-award winning hospice that puts the patient at the heart of everything we do. This year we started an innovative frailty service, working with the Lister Hospital, which has seen us expanding our services and helping even more patients through symptom control, reablement or last days of life care. We are looking for the person with the right skills and experience to become part of our amazing team and help us as we grow even further. Main duties of the job The successful applicant will work across the Hospice inpatient unit, outpatients and in the domiciliary setting, including in providing consultant support to the Herts Community Trust palliative care CNS team. The successful applicant will take part in the Hertfordshire palliative medicine consultant non-resident on call rota. The successful applicant will work closely with the Hospice Medical Director in management and strategy relating to Hospice medical care and also in clinical governance and quality improvement work. The successful applicant will be given the opportunity to be involved in teaching and research, including being the Clinical Supervisor to medical trainees.
