The School of Art and Design is seeking two enthusiastic and flexible Lecturers to join our innovative and high-achieving team. These are two separate 0.4 FTE roles (2 days per week each) available on a fixed term basis until July 2025:
* 0.4 Lecturer in Product Design & Craft
* 0.4 Lecturer in Photography

0.4 Lecturer in Product Design & Craft
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to deliver on our successful UAL Level 3 Product Design & Craft course. You will be responsible for delivering both technical and industry-focused content, helping students develop their skills in innovative and sustainable design.
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
* Hand sketching and rendering techniques
* Technical drawing
* Principles of product design and/or craft
* Sustainable design practices
* Strong communication and presentation skills
0.4 Lecturer in Photography
We are seeking a passionate and experienced lecturer to support the delivery of our UAL Level 3 Photography programme. The successful candidate will inspire learners through a combination of technical training and creative development, supporting them in both digital and traditional photographic processes.
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
* Proficiency in DSLR and mirrorless camera systems
* Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop and Lightroom)
* Studio lighting and location shooting
* Darkroom and analogue photography (desirable)
* Visual storytelling and conceptual development
* Strong communication and critique skills
The successful candidates will be positive, enthusiastic, resilient and have an eagerness to seek out development opportunities for our courses. They will also be able to demonstrate an adaptive and flexible teaching style to support and stretch a diverse range of students.
Teaching experience and relevant qualifications are desirable although we are keen to hear from anyone with the right skills and is willing to engage in self-development.
It is essential that our courses reflect industry practices, and you will be key in driving course development to ensure it remains relevant and meets contemporary industry needs. You should also expect to provide prompt, accurate and detailed assessment of student work at key stages during the academic year.
