Support the Contracts Manager by acting as first point of contact for line employees and all line queries.
Proactively organise and oversee the workflow of the line, ensuring maximum efficiency and production.
Help support and motivate the team to ensure they are meeting their set goals and objectives.
About The Role
* Organise workflow and people resources to meet specifications and deadlines, ensuring to monitor production, to ensure on time delivery of materials.
* Communicate effectively to management and employees.
* Liaise with other department managers to ensure production and despatch is on target.
* Ensuring complete dispatch of all private, retail and contract kitchens, bedrooms and bathroom panels.
* Maintain accurate records and report all internal/external issues and report to Contracts Manager.
* Ensure all team members abide by Woodland H&S policy and legislation.
* Ensure all accidents and near misses are reported in accordance with Health & Safety policy and procedures.
* Identify areas of improvement and provide recommendations to management to support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives aimed at developing a lean culture, minimising cost, and maximising productivity to ensure quality and on time delivery.
* Ensure all members of the team adhere to Company Policies and Procedures.
* Seeking to achieve right first-time quality, identifying root cause of production mistakes and feed back to other departments to prevent re-occurrence.
Health & Safety
* Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and site rules.
* Ensure all staff in your area are always wearing the correct PPE and proper work instructions are followed.
* Maintain excellent standard of housekeeping to reduce the risk of slips, trips and falls.
* Ensure all staff in your area are aware of their responsibility regarding their own safety and the safety of others.
Managing Staff
* Supervise all staff in your area to maintain standards of product, performance, behaviours, and output.
* Manage staff absence and liaise with HR to address any concerns regarding time and attendance.
* Any other duties as requested by the manager or any member of the management team.

Desired Criteria
* Maths and English Language Grade C or above (or equivalent).
* A recognised qualification in Leadership or related discipline.
* Proven experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
* Experience of working with product i.e. cabinets furniture would be advantageous.
* Valid forklift license and forklift driving experience.
* Manual handling/First Aid training.
Required Criteria
* A Minimum of 1 years experience withing a supervisory/leader position.
* Experience of providing direction, instructions and guidance.
* Experience of supporting and motivating a team to ensure that are meeting their set goals and objectives.
* Experience of working within a fast-paced environment.
