Civil Engineer – Birmingham £35,000 - £45,000 Benefits We have an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineer to join a growing team, working closely with structural engineers on a diverse range of projects. This role involves leading projects, ensuring effective resource allocation, and delivering high-quality civil engineering solutions across infrastructure, highways, and drainage. You’ll play a key part in feasibility studies, costing, and construction designs while mentoring junior engineers and working towards professional development. Key Responsibilities: Prepare design calculations, drawings, and reports with minimal supervision. Support project design from start to completion. Influence master-planning using knowledge of highways, drainage, and statutory regulations. Design highways, SUDS, utilities coordination/diversion, and building drainage. Conduct site investigations, inspections, and resolve any issues. Prepare fee proposals and manage financial aspects of projects. Mentor and support junior engineers. Represent the company at client meetings and design discussions. Work towards Chartership (if not already Chartered) and maintain CPD requirements. Requirements: BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering (JBM-accredited). Chartered or near Chartered with the Institution of Civil Engineers. Experience using AutoCAD, Civil 3D/PDS, MicroDrainage, TEDDS, and other design software. Strong understanding of infrastructure and drainage regulations.
