INTERNAL SALES EXECUTIVE

Our client's UK operation was formed in the 1940's and their European operation was launched in the 1960's, providing climate solutions to the commercial and industrial sectors. Due to growth in the business, they are looking for an Internal Sales Executive to work from the UK Head Quarters in Warwickshire. Our client specialises in the installation and bespoke design of HVAC systems and solutions. JOB PURPOSE
Helps manage a portfolio of accounts and is responsible for retention and growth of pre-selected product ranges. Function as part of the sales administration team ensuring all sales administration tasks are up to date.
JOB SPECIFICATION
1. Provides back office technical and commercial support to Key Account Managers, Regional and Sector Sales colleagues.
2. Co-ordinates customer projects and product requirements from enquiry to delivery.
3. Works closely with the Key Account Managers, Regional Sales Executives, and Sector Sales Executives.
4. Solves simple technical queries from customers or installers.
5. Supports the development of concepts by liaising with the Factory and sales colleagues.
6. Communicates effectively with the factories and external suppliers to manufacture or source the customer’s requirements.
7. Completes actions from key account and departmental meetings.
8. Provides the first point of contact for new customers over the phone to understand the enquiry and take relevant action as appropriate.
9. Helps customers select the right product on the phone by explaining the features and benefits.
10. Converts enquiries from new customers into sales and develops a good level of product knowledge.
11. Ensures 100% customer satisfaction.
12. Manages assigned clients and is responsible for retention and growth of the re-selected accounts. May have a sales budget to achieve.
13. Provides logistics information for customers. Tracks orders and confirms when products will arrive. Charges freight costs to customers.
14. Produces quotations and follows up on quotations.
15. Maintains and updates the CRM and other systems.
16. Visits suppliers and customers when required.
17. Makes arrangements for trade shows and arranges promotional materials as required.
18. Any other duties or responsibilities that may reasonably be required from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
* A technical degree is preferred or a commercial degree with technical experience.
* Experience in a similar technical internal sales role is essential.
* Project management experience.
* Commercial acumen.
* Knowledge of the specification/tender process and HVAC or Engineering markets would be advantageous.
* A good level of IT skills including knowledge of CRM systems.
