As an Electrical Engineer you'll work on projects that make a real difference to our environment and our communities - from improving flood defences, to upgrading water treatment works and providing nature-based solutions that improve biodiversity. Y ou will play a pivotal role in shaping the electrical functions throughout the lifecycle of various projects. From concept design to commissioning, you will ensure that all electrical aspects are meticulously considered and integrated. The role of a n Electrical E ngineer include s : Plan ning and programm ing the electrical aspects of projects, working with design and operational teams to support the design, planning, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of projects. Work ing closely with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, civil, and process engineers, to be responsible for electrical safety on projects and electrical systems into broader project designs. During the construction phase, duties will include overseeing subcontractors, ensuring installations meet standards, implementing testing, review ing technical risk and method statements, and implementing e lectrical safety. Additionally, creat ing commissioning plans, inspection and test plans, acceptance documents, training materials, and completion documentation.
