THE ROLE An opportunity has arisen for a Production Operator at Pilkington Plyglass, reporting to the relevant Production Chargehand. The purpose of the role is to be part of a production team specialising in producing high quality products in an efficient, safe, and timely manner. The main responsibilities will be to: Maintain a safe and clean working environment in accordance with our client's H&S policy. Ensure all quality standards are adhered to and safe operating procedures are followed. Liaise with team members in order to problem solve and ensure continuity of production. Achieve the shift work plan and take corrective action when necessary, ensuring that all information is communicated through the Chargehand. Identify opportunities for improvement and support the implementation of any changes to procedures. Complete all relevant documentation in order that accurate records are maintained. Provide information to the Chargehand in order for them to act on any potential problems that arise. Ensure all operator maintenance regimes are performed and the appropriate documentation is completed.
