The post will be based in the dedicated Dermatology department at Croydon University Hospital within Croydon Health Services and other work locations including off site working may be agreed in your Job Plan where appropriate. The successful candidate will be undertaking general dermatology / USC and skin surgery clinics with an interest in tele dermatology. The remit of the post holder will be to work within the multi disciplinary team providing and further developing care of dermatology patients, and to provide and develop dermatology services to Croydon Health Services patients. In addition, the individual will be required to play an active role in the general workload of the department while having a significant commitment to teaching and training of junior staff. It is envisaged that the appointee will contribute to the development and delivery of inpatient, outpatient and emergency work (ward / A&E referrals). Person Specification Qualifications Essential • MB BS or equivalent Membership of the Royal College of Physician (MRCP) or equivalent • Inclusion in the specialist register for Dermatology or equivalent, or within 6 months of CCT at time of interview. Name on Specialist Register on date of taking appointment Desirable • Higher degree (MD, PhD or equivalent) Registration Essential • Full registration with the GMC Training and Experience Essential • Fully trained in Dermatology with possession of UK CCT or equivalent • At least 2 years substantive previous NHS experience at SPR level (or equivalent). Experience in all areas of Dermatology including surgery and to be able to see and manage a broad range of dermatological conditions.
