Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment? Look no further! Aligra is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join our client in Avonmouth.
Our client is a leading logistics company that specialises in chilled distribution. As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for order picking in a chilled environment. You will work 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, with weekend working required. The rota will be well in advance, so you can plan your life around your work.
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including a 10% discount on shopping when you become a permanent member of staff. Set shift 1400-2200. We also offer pay rises at 12 weeks and 27 weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Order picking: Responsible for accurately and efficiently picking orders from the chilled warehouse using a handheld scanner. Attention to detail is essential to ensure correct products and quantities are picked.
* Quality control: Check the quality of products to ensure they are in good condition and meet company standards.
* Stock replenishment: Replenish stock as needed, maintaining a tidy and organized warehouse.
* Health and safety: Follow health and safety procedures, wear PPE, and report hazards or incidents.
* Teamwork: Collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure timely order picking and dispatch.
Skills and Experience:
* Previous warehouse experience is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
* Good communication skills for working with colleagues and supervisors.
* Strong attention to detail for accurate order picking.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Good organizational skills to keep the warehouse tidy.
Pay:
* Shift 1400-2200: pay rises after 12 and 27 weeks.
* Overtime paid between specified rates.
