We are looking for experienced support workers to work as part of a team to provide 2-1 care for our client, a young man with an acquired brain injury and complex health needs.
The role will include constant monitoring of the client’s epilepsy and seizures, medication supervision, personal care, incontinence management, and implementing behavioural strategies under the guidance of the therapy team.
The role involves frequent local walks and trips out by car on most shifts, and accompanying the client on planned recreational outings, medical appointments, and therapeutic activities. You will assist the client in his aspects of daily living, including meal planning and preparation.
Working hours:
12-hour shifts, can be flexible depending on the successful applicant
7am-7pm
Rates of pay:
Weekdays: £15.00 per hour
Weekends: £17.00 per hour
Requirements:
•Previous experience working with clients who have epilepsy and seizures.
•A full and clean driving licence.
•There is a cat in the client’s home so the successful applicant must be comfortable working with one in the house and not allergic.
•Proficiency with IT for emails and documentation.
•Genuine, caring, and encouraging personality with a calm demeanour.
•Good communication skills.
•Ideally you will speak English and Panjabi as our client speaks both
An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise, the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.

A full and clean driving license is essential.
