Workshop Coordinator / Charge hand - Avonmouth Depot
We are currently recruiting for a Workshop Coordinator to work at our Avonmouth Depot, over seeing technicians and working closely with the workshop Manager.
Pay Rates:
£19.83 per hour, Saturday £24.78 and Sunday £29.74
Shift pattern:
Monday to Friday (flexibility over the weekend)
Essential skills required:
1. Effective verbal and written skills, coupled with strong decision making and problem solving skills.
2. Planning and time management.
3. Apprentice trained commercial fitter.
4. City Guilds part 1/2.
Desirable skills:
5. Strong PC literacy.
6. Understanding of vehicle maintenance.
7. Refrigeration experience.
What will your main objectives be?
You will be looking after a workshop full of Technicians, ranging in experience levels (including apprentices). Working alongside the Workshop Manager and administration team, you will be expected to liaise between the front-of-house and the workshop, assigning job cards and maintaining a steady workflow to maximize workshop utilisation. There will be the requirement to proactively look at ways to improve the performance of the workshop team.
Responsibilities:
8. Complete repairs on vehicles as required
9. Ensure best repair option utilising internal and external resource.
10. Ensure first time fix utilising internal and external resources to reduce vehicle VOR times.
11. Provide technical engineering support to manager.
12. Liaise with nominated 3rd party suppliers to ensure best cost options.
13. Ensure all service and inspection documentation is correctly completed.
14. Manage the Fleet maintenance system and issue approvals with in authority limits.
15. Manage workload and job assignment.
16. Quality control; manage quality of job sheets.
17. Provide and maintain inventory records for workshop equipment.
18. Ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to.
19. Assist in the procurement of parts and manage impress stock levels.
20. Work within and implement a policy of “preventative maintenance”
