An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our welcoming and forward-thinking small animal practice in leafy Twickenham on a part-time basis. Your role will encompass a variety of nursing duties, including theatre work, in-patient care, nurse clinics, and general housekeeping, with responsibilities shared across our supportive nursing team.
Work-life Balance: This is a permanent, part-time role of 20 hours per week, working 4 hours per day from Monday to Friday - no weekends or OOH! Typical shift patterns include 8:00 am - 4:30 pm or 11:00 am - 7:30 pm. We’re happy to consider flexible working arrangements and encourage part-time applicants to apply.
Who We Are: Twickenham Veterinary Surgery is a well-established practice set in a vibrant suburban town, offering easy access to charming cafés, restaurants, and scenic parks. Situated on the River Thames, we’re just 10 miles from Charing Cross, 2 miles from Hounslow, and 2.6 miles from Kingston upon Thames, with excellent transport links. Our practice is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including digital X-ray, ultrasound, multiparameter monitor, endoscope, laser, and a dedicated nurse’s consulting room. We take pride in delivering exceptional patient care and service.
Join Our Experienced Team: You’ll be joining a supportive team of six experienced Vets, including a certificate holder in internal medicine and a Vet trained in acupuncture. Our nursing team consists of five full-time RVNs, three part-time RVNs, one Student Nurse, and one training ANA, all backed by seven dedicated support staff. We are committed to excellent customer care and staff well-being, fostering a collaborative, no-blame culture where team members openly discuss cases and continuously improve protocols.
We also actively engage with the community and local charities - recently, we hosted a charity garden party to raise funds for a local animal charity.
