Residential Support Worker: Children's Home We are a residential care setting for children. Based in our lovely rural setting you will be part of a team supporting children to affect positive change in their lives. The children we care for live in our homes, and the staff provide them with a nurturing and safe environment. At times, there can be challenges, we need to be patient, kind, understanding and resilient to be able to support the children, and to act as an appropriate role model for them, to build positive relationships to enable them to address their difficulties, and achieve their optimum potential. We need to be professional, working within a highly regulated environment. We are responsible for the day to day running of the home including housekeeping tasks, cooking, cleaning, and providing transportation for children, whilst always keeping the needs and feelings of the children at the forefront of everything they do. We welcome applicants with previous experience of working with children, but this is not essential as full training will be provided. You will have access to a company car at work, so a full driving licence is essential. Salary is £27,500 - £29,000 depending on experience. Your working hours are 10 x 25 hour shifts (including sleep ins) per month. Part time and sessional work is also available so please apply if you wish to discuss this as well.
