An exciting opportunity has arisen at Oaklands for a Quality Assurance Facilitator to provide support for the college’s Quality assurance function; to work with colleagues across the College to support the embedding of quality assurance systems; and to support the identification of good practice and areas for development that will inform training and development needs that support ongoing quality improvement.

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Quality Assurance Facilitator to join our team and play a crucial role in supporting the college’s Quality assurance function. In this position, you will contribute to the delivery of the annual Quality Strategy, and to support delivery of the College’s strategic objectives and core values. You will work as part of the Quality Assurance Team to ensure that quality assurance procedures are in line with the College’s, Awarding Bodies and Ofsted’s expectations. Work closely with curriculum areas to ensure that IV, EV, SV and EQA procedures meet awarding body requirements. You will also be responsible for supporting the induction and subsequent training and development of identified new staff members to ensure best practice in delivery, assessment and verification of the qualifications they are to deliver. You will support improvements in assessment and verification practices across the College. To support quality audits and reviews that are undertaken on OneFile, Promonitor and any other college systems that are implemented, including any internal or external inspections. You will lead the external course approval process, you will play an instrumental role in departmental intensive support function, quality review meetings and complete compliance checks as required.
The ideal candidate will hold a recognised level 5 teaching qualification or equivalent, holds relevant assessor and verifier qualifications, experience of successful mentoring or coaching to support delivery, learning and assessment, experience of observations (or equivalent) of teaching, learning and assessment and experience of 16-19 study programmes including T levels. The key attributes they will have will be excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, experience with data analysis and entry, administrative tasks and a proactive approach. You should be proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

6. Support the induction and subsequent training and development of identified new staff members to ensure best practice in delivery, assessment and verification of the qualifications they are to deliver.
7. Support improvements in assessment and verification practices across the College.
8. Support quality audits and reviews that are undertaken on OneFile, Promonitor and any other college systems that are implemented, including any internal or external inspections.
9. Lead the external course approval process and complete compliance checks as required.
10. Support the Head of Quality Improvement and Teacher Education to ensure the College is effectively prepared for Ofsted and other external funding agency and awarding body inspections and visits.
11. Support the Head of Quality Improvement and Teacher Education in the planning and delivery of an annual programme of quality reviews and audits.
