Location : Helmores, 111-112 High Street, Crediton, Devon
Hours : 30-40 hours per week (flexible, 4-5 days a week)
Salary : £30,000 - £32,000 per year Full Time Equivalent

We’re on the hunt for an Assistant Manager to help run our busy Property Rentals department.
This is a role for someone who can take ownership, work with initiative, and enjoy problem-solving while delivering excellent customer service.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Helping to manage day-to-day lettings operations, ensuring properties are well-maintained and tenancies run smoothly.
* Liaising with landlords and tenants to resolve issues efficiently, balancing expectations and ensuring great service.
* Handling property maintenance and repairs, working with trusted tradespeople to get jobs done quickly and cost-effectively.
* Occasionally helping with onboarding of new landlords and properties, including conducting initial property assessments, explaining our services, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and building strong working relationships with landlords from the outset.
* Taking responsibility for your workload ,this is a role for someone who likes to get stuck in and make decisions, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and proactively.
* Providing an excellent customer experience, keeping things professional and personable.
What We’re Looking For:
* No prior lettings experience required – full training will be provided.
* A strong work ethic and ability to work independently – we need someone who takes initiative and sees things through.
* A basic understanding of buildings, central heating, and electrics etc is a plus – as confidence dealing with maintenance issues is important.
* Someone who is resilient and solutions-focused – every job has challenges, but you’ll have a great team behind you.
* Strong communication skills – whether speaking with landlords, tenants, or contractors, you need to be clear, professional, and approachable.
* A proactive mindset – we want someone who gets on with things and enjoys making a difference.
* Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a busy environment.
