Senior Electrical Engineer
This is an exciting time to join a dynamic, expanding team as a Senior Electrical Engineer in Warrington. Due to continued project wins and growth across key sectors including pharmaceutical, chemical, and manufacturing, our client is looking for an experienced electrical design professional to help shape and deliver critical projects.
The role
As the Senior Electrical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work across high-profile sites, lead on technical delivery, and be part of an ambitious team driving innovation and excellence. Your Duties and Responsibilities will be:
* Provide critical technical support across various ongoing projects.
* Deliver accurate and compliant electrical engineering design solutions.
* Produce high-quality electrical installation deliverables aligned with BS7671 and client specifications.
* Drive project delivery to meet time, cost, and quality targets.
* Manage and coordinate design activities with internal and external stakeholders.
* Lead improvements and apply innovative design solutions.
* Conduct site surveys and offer technical support during construction.
* Generate documentation to defined standards and quality requirements.
* Interface with mechanical, process, HVAC, and civil disciplines.
You will have the following qualifications and experience:
* Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering OR demonstrable senior-level experience.
* Minimum 5 years in an electrical design/technical support role.
* Strong understanding of design processes and associated documentation.
* Experienced with CDM 2015 Regulations and familiarity with the ‘Designer’ role.
* Ability to lead projects through concept, detailed design, and construction stages.
* Proficient in AutoCAD LT, Trimble (Amtech) Pro Design Suite, and Microsoft Office.
* Experienced in 3D modelling and BIM execution.
* Comfortable undertaking site surveys and providing construction support.
* Collaborative, team-focused attitude.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to innovate and embrace emerging technologies.
* Resilient under pressure, maintaining strong client relationships.
It's great if you also have the following:
* Membership of a relevant professional institution (IET, CIBSE, etc.).
* Experience in pharmaceutical, chemical, or similarly high-risk sectors.
* Working knowledge of hazardous areas and ATEX.
The Setting for the Role:
You will be operating on active pharmaceutical and chemical sites, where risks include noise, mechanical hazards, extreme temperatures, chemical/biological agents, explosive atmospheres, and work in confined spaces or at height. Full safety training and equipment are provided.
