Coalway Community Infant School, located in the beautiful Forest of Dean, is a caring, happy school with a commitment to provide the very best education for our children.
The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspirational Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator who is passionate about Infant education and enhancing the learning of pupils with SEND.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious teacher with energy and vision to play a key leadership role and contribute to the continuing development of our school.
The successful candidate will:
1. Be an outstanding teacher, passionate about children’s learning and welfare, with high expectations of all learners
2. Have a commitment and drive to benefit the lives of pupils with special educational needs
3. Have recent, thorough and valid experience and knowledge of working within the Special Educational Needs Code of Practice
4. Be an exemplary role model with strong leadership and organisational skills who can nurture, inspire, challenge and motivate both pupils and staff
5. Have strong interpersonal skills with ability to engage positively with pupils, staff, parents and the wider community
6. Have been successful in a leadership role and made a positive contribution to raising standards in teaching and learning within EYFS and KS1, particularly for pupils with SEND
7. Be able to maintain and enhance high educational standards
