Main duties of the job
You will be expected to work within all clinical areas within the Emergency department.
You will be required to attend and complete mandatory training online and face to face.
In addition to this, the department offers a comprehensive induction programme and role-specific training.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community-based settings and providing care in patients' homes.

Job Description
Job responsibilities
1. Undertakes specific direct and indirect care and therapeutic duties as a Registered Nurse within own level of skill and competence.
2. Carry out specified delegated clinical care and support, consistent with the patient/users plan of care.
3. Document a clear and accurate account of any direct or indirect care given to the patient.
4. Maintain a friendly, polite telephone manner, being aware of the need for confidentiality and liaising with the senior team at all times.
5. Work within your scope of practice and complete all essential training as well as additional role-specific training which will be provided as ongoing learning.
6. Work alongside a multidisciplinary team and liaise with professional care providers to ensure a high standard of care is provided at all times.
7. Support student nurses and work alongside healthcare assistants.
8. The department cares for many clinical presentations and is varied, which will provide opportunities to develop.
