To align ourselves to the 2030 business objectives and the ambition to double in size, you’ll be playing a key role by leading a team who works across not only all PNB UK portfolio of opportunities and clients, but also in other sectors and geographies. The PNB civil and structural team has more than 100+ members, ranging from graduates to world renown experts, with different backgrounds and nationalities.
Your Purpose:
The team works across the major nuclear new build projects in the business:
* Hinkley Point C.
* Sizewell C.
* Small Modular Reactor (SMR) and Advanced Reactor programmes.
* Future fusion reactor technologies.
* The team also provides essential support to our colleagues across Nuclear EMEA in the Reactor Operations and Decommissioning Markets.
The role:
Leadership Accountabilities:
* Provide strategic direction and leadership across all aspects of EMEA civil engineering, ensuring organisational goals and team objectives are aligned. Collaborate with other practices around the world to contribute to cross functional excellence across global programmes.
* Work with Account Leads to develop and deliver the business strategy and skills needed to deliver the PNB 5-year road map through recruitment, staff development and collaboration across the wider AtkinsRéalis and Supply Chain.
* Support business development activities. Be the client facing civil engineer, developing opportunities, supporting the markets and building key relationships with clients.
* Provide the group with a clear identity, provide inspiration, and culture and win interesting work.
Operational Accountabilities:
* Successfully deliver against operational targets, balancing the needs of the business with the needs of the team.
* Create a culture of excellence and accountability, inspiring team members to achieve their full potential and deliver exceptional results, effectively managing performance issues and getting the most out of the team.
* Delivering through others – empowering the team to deliver against short term targets, providing support where required and planning for the medium and long term.
* Manage communications for the group and ensure staff are engaged.
* Provide strategic workforce planning and resourcing input to overall business strategy, including bidding.
* Actively participate and sponsor the professional development of reports and colleagues and champion ED&I.
