Job overview
This is an exciting opportunity to work part-time in one of the 8 English cervical screening laboratories, delivering a clinical cervical cytology service to the East Midlands region.
Ideally, 7.5 hrs Mondays and Tuesdays are required but this can be flexible.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Consultant Biomedical Scientist to maintain their professional skills whilst achieving an improved work life balance.
Main duties of the job
* Work at consultant level in cervical cytopathology, independently reporting cervical screening samples.
* Participation in MDTs across the laboratory footprint, primarily by Teams.
* Participation in training of departmental staff, both medical and non-medical.

* Educated to Master’s degree level or equivalent as Healthcare Scientist.
* Advanced Specialist Diploma Cervical Cytopathology.
* Senior clinical experience within speciality.
* Experience of reporting into MDTs.
* Experience of delivering training for medics / non-medics.
