You will play an important role in driving forward analytical projects in partnership with policy, strategy, and commissioning specialists to deliver better services for our residents. Main duties of the job Working with the Head of Health Intelligence, the Lead Public Health Analyst, and the rest of the team, you will contribute to the delivery of analytical projects on topics across the health and wellbeing space as well as tacking an active role in helping shape the tools, methods, and practices used to undertake analysis. Strong understanding of quantitative epidemiological methods (e.g., standardisation, significance testing, and regression) and ability to extract, validate, analyse, interpret, and present quantitative data. Awareness of qualitative research methods, and their strengths and limitations. Good understanding of information governance and data management. Ability to develop and deliver training and education on quantitative analytical methods and data visualisation. Experienced in developing reproducable analytical pipelines, ideally using R or Python. Public Health A strong understanding of public health, inequalities, and wider determinants of health. Knowledge and experience of the development, use, and interpretation of relevant datasets, their strengths and weaknesses, and appropriate methods for answering public health questions.
