Position:
An opportunity has arisen for a Dietitian at University Hospital Ayr.
What you will do:
You will have a senior role in the team with other Band 6 colleagues, assisting with day-to-day operational leadership in the absence of the Team Lead. Wards are aligned to individuals; however, the team works together to cover the needs of the full caseload across the site on a day-to-day basis. As well as the professional Dietetic team, you would work clinically as an integral member of the MDT and would be expected to monitor the impact of our intervention through the use of quality improvement methodologies.
Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
1. Degree/postgraduate diploma in Human Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent; essential.
2. Registered Dietitian with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC); essential.
3. Experience of mentoring/supervising junior registered and unregistered colleagues including students; essential.
4. Training in the management of complex enteral and parenteral nutrition preferred.
UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership:
UK driving licence/Car ownership is essential to this role.
