Role Overview:
A Role is available for a Control Systems Engineer in the control systems department at Mahindra Racing. We are looking for an experienced engineer to join us on a full-time basis reporting to the Head of Control systems. This engineer will be responsible for developing control systems and supporting track test events and dyno test events.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Development of control systems and analysis tools.
2. Research and develop new control strategies based on modern control design techniques.
3. Specify and peer review new control strategies with control and performance engineers.
4. Collaborate with the Simulation department to carry out more complex investigations and implementations.
5. Implement control software for the ECU environment.
6. Test, calibrate and validate software using DIL or HIL.
7. Work with Race drivers both in DIL and on track to optimize and calibrate control systems.
8. Document and communicate new control strategies to relevant departments.
Qualifications, skills and experience required:
1. A degree in a relevant discipline: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science.
2. Experience working with control systems in motorsport.
3. Experience working with simulation tools.
4. Experience working with Matlab and Simulink.
5. Experience working with MAT tools such as MCT, Atlas, System monitor.
