Job Title: Outreach, Engagement & Intervention Worker Location: Colchester/Witham (TBC) with travel across North East and Mid Essex Responsible to: Operational Outreach Lead Contract Type: Temp to Perm (12 weeks), Fixed-Term until 31st August 2026 Salary: £26,634 (working 39 weeks per year, paid for 44.7 weeks per year, 37 hours per week) About the Role We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Outreach, Engagement & Intervention Worker to support secondary school pupils at risk of exclusion or educational disadvantage. This role involves working closely with schools, families, and external agencies to enhance student engagement, reduce exclusions, and deliver tailored interventions that promote academic and social success. Key Responsibilities Provide direct support to students, fostering their engagement in education. Work in collaboration with schools and agencies to develop bespoke student support plans. Build and maintain positive relationships with families, ensuring continuity between home and school strategies. Deliver intervention programs aimed at enhancing problem-solving, social skills, emotional regulation, and academic engagement. Offer guidance and advice to school staff to improve student outcomes. Attend multi-agency meetings and liaise with partner schools as required. Maintain accurate records, produce reports, and assess the effectiveness of interventions. Adhere to safeguarding and inclusion policies set by Keys Academy Trust. Engage in professional development and training to enhance effectiveness in the role. Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by the Outreach Operational Lead. What We’re Looking For Experience working with young people at risk of exclusion or social disadvantage.
