This will involve different Trauma, elective and spinal outpatient clinics. Main duties of the job The main role of the post is to prepare and oversee clinics, this will involve ensuring they are running efficiently, using the resources available, supporting clinicians and anticipating their requirements. Having responsible for HCA's in the clinical areas, and supporting them whilst on duty. We are responsible for ensuring all our patients are appraised of any further treatments or and investigations and ensure they are well informed about each step. Outpatient staff are expected to work as a team and support the plaster room as required. Person specification Education And Qualifications Essential criteria Registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Diploma/degree in nursing studies or working towards Desirable criteria Undertaken mentorship training /Assessor/supervisor training Knowledge And Experience Essential criteria Relevant experience in past of looking after patients in a healthcare environment. Desirable criteria Previous NHS experience within last 12 months Previous experience within an Acute setting Broad clinical knowledge base in orthopaedics Skills And Knowledge Essential criteria Ability to work as part of a team Compassionate Confident and calm attitude with the ability to work under pressure Good interpersonal and communication skills IT skills Accurate document presentation and attention to detail Punctual and reliable Motivated and enthusiastic, shows initiative The James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust recognises the requirement to promote health and reduce ill-health.
