The Role and Company:
My client are an established and well-known name within their sector. They are embarking on a digital transformation journey to modernise their business and are setting up a new delivery function within their IT team.
This is a newly created Project Manager role and will reporting directly into the Head of Transformation. The successful candidate will deliver a variety of projects and initiatives ranging from minor development requests for existing Legacy applications to the implementation of new cloud-based SaaS platforms.
This is an office based role in Telford initially.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage multiple small to medium-sized projects to enhance and update existing Legacy applications.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
* Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery.
* Support the transition from Legacy systems to modern platforms by managing end-to-end project delivery.
* Ensure projects align with organisational goals and digital transformation strategy.
* Work with third-party partners to deliver consultancy and cloud services, ensuring quality and alignment with objectives.
* Engage with Business Analysts to ensure requirements are gathered effectively.
* Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to team members as required.
* Proactively manage cultural change within the organisation, particularly with end users adapting to new technologies.
* Develop and execute change management plans to maximise user adoption and minimise resistance.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Proven experience in Project Management within an IT/digital transformation environment
* Strong track record of managing small internal development teams effectively.
* Experience working with third-party partners to deliver consultancy and cloud services.
* Strong knowledge of project management methodologies including Agile, Waterfall and Prince 2
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including managing cultural change with end users.
* Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
* Any formal project management certifications eg Prince 2 or Agile would be great but not essential.
