Our Transportation Routing team plays a vital role in ensuring every order arrives on time and at the best cost. By working closely with local depots and network planning teams, the team manages routing for first- and final-mile deliveries, helping maintain Wayfair's reputation for exceptional customer satisfaction. As a Transport Planner, you'll be at the heart of our logistics operations, executing daily delivery plans for the US and UK markets. Your focus will be on optimizing routes, improving delivery efficiency, and proactively addressing potential challenges to ensure smooth operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine your logistics expertise, problem-solving skills, and data analysis capabilities to make a tangible impact on our network and the customer experience. What You'll Do: - Execute daily outbound plans to meet speed, cost, and customer satisfaction goals. - Manage and adjust routing software (Descartes) settings to continuously enhance route planning. - Communicate effectively with depots and planning teams to keep operations running smoothly. - Analyze and use data to drive improvements in core metrics like route utilization, scheduled stops, and on-time delivery. - Monitor routes proactively to find ways to improve efficiency and prevent service disruptions. - Collaborate with the technology teams to provide feedback and suggest process improvements. What We're Looking For: - Proven experience successfully operating within logistics and /or supply chain as a Transport Planner, Route Planner or similar role. - Strong problem solving skills with ability to find and implement effective solutions quickly. - Excellent communicator, someone who can engage and collaborate with cross functional stakeholders at all levels. - Familiarity with data analysis to support decision-making. - Attention to detail and capability of managing multiple tasks while excelling in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
