The Allergy Service at is dedicated to delivering comprehensive care to individuals with various allergic conditions. Our collaborative, multidisciplinary team, comprising allergists, dietitians, nurses, and support staff, is steadfast in providing personalised diagnostic assessments, tailored treatment plans, and ongoing management, all grounded in evidence-based practices and innovative methodologies.
We welcome applications from Dietitians with prior experience in allergy care. This role presents an ideal pathway for individuals aspiring to advance into leadership positions. We actively encourage innovation to enhance patient care, providing you with the platform to trial pioneering ideas. Leveraging your leadership and supervisory skills, lead clinicalsupervision sessions for other allied healthcare professionals within the trust, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, including the paediatric allergy team and other allergy services within the Northeast and Central London Network.

Main duties of the job
Clinical Responsibilities:
As the clinical lead Dietician within the Allergy Service, the main responsibilities will be performing comprehensive assessments, to inform the dietetic treatment and management of patients within the allergy service. The role will also involve providing guidance to the Allergy MDT, patients, and carers. The role will also include the interpretation of relevant investigations such as skin prick testing, serum Ig-E and ISAC to help inform nutritional and dietary requirements and recommendations.
The dietitian provides highly specialized advice to improve diet adequacy and diversity for those on restricted diets due to food allergies and monitors anthropometric assessments to address malnutrition concerns. Additionally, the dietitian supports older adolescents and young adults in managing their food allergies independently, offering practical advice on eating out, cooking, and living away from home.
Effective communication is crucial for educating healthcare professionals on dietetic management.
