Head of HR

Everfair Tax, based in London and Weybridge, is seeking an experienced and proactive Head of HR to support our business growth. Reporting to the MD, this hands-on role supported by an HR administrator, has the focus of driving employee engagement, well-being, and satisfaction while ensuring alignment with our business goals. What you’ll be doing:
1. Enhancing Employee Engagement & Wellbeing – Cultivating a positive workplace culture and ensuring HR strategies align with business goals.
2. Managing HR Operations – Overseeing the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, talent management, and rewards.
3. Developing Policies & Compliance – Ensuring HR policies, contracts, and procedures comply with UK employment law and best practice.
4. Leading Recruitment & Onboarding – Managing end-to-end recruitment, liaising with recruiters, and delivering an outstanding onboarding experience.
5. Driving Learning & Development – Identifying training needs, coordinating professional development and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
6. Managing Compensation & Benefits – Working alongside our benefits providers and finance team to ensure payroll, pensions, and staff benefits are effectively managed.
7. Providing Employee Relations Support – Handling disciplinary procedures, grievances, and wellbeing initiatives to maintain a fair and supportive environment.
8. Supporting Health & Safety – Taking the lead on workplace safety, ensuring compliance, and reporting to Directors where required.
What we are looking for:
1. Proven experience in a similar HR role (ideally within professional services).
2. Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
3. CIPD qualification (minimum Level 5) and full CIPD membership.
4. Experience in employee engagement, wellbeing initiatives, and policy development.
5. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
6. Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
7. Clear, confident communicator able to translate complex HR matters effectively.
8. High level of integrity, discretion, and trustworthiness.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software.
What we offer:
Salary: £60-70K per annum (dependent on experience)
Days: Full-time, 37.5 hours a week which are flexible with core hours of 10am-4.30pm.
Hybrid working: The ideal working pattern is 2 days London, 1 day Weybridge and 2 from home
Holiday: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
