Logistics Planner
Location: Christchurch, BH23
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm
Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 per annum (D.O.E)
About our client:
Our client is a very well-established business working with lots of domestic and commercial partners supplying lighting products across the UK. They are seeking a Logistics Planner to play a fundamental part in the operational success through meticulous planning and strong communication, whilst maintaining good working relationships with the product distribution and fulfilment team.
Main responsibilities of the role:
1. Fulfilling on customer orders through strong logistical planning with various e-commerce channels including, distribution centres, drop-shipping and regional consolidation centres.
2. Provide regular updates to the business on logistics plans and potential delivery challenges.
3. Proactively monitor and address potential delivery delays caused by quality control issues or shipment delays, ensuring timely communication.
4. Approach any problem with a calm and positive attitude with the aim to reduce delays and keep the wheels in motion.
5. Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and contributing to risk identification and resolution.
Skills / Experience required for the role:
1. Proficient user of Microsoft Applications including Outlook & Excel.
2. A problem solver with a good approach to resolution.
3. Excellent communicator across all channels including over the telephone and over email.
4. Thorough organisational skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
5. Process-driven with strong administrative skills.
6. Experience in a similar based role would be advantageous.
