The Role
Reporting to our Head of Operations, you’ll be responsible for dealing with all administrative duties relating to the movement of ONFAB products including prioritising shipping orders, customs clearance duties, monitoring email and compiling high level work instructions.
Specifically, you will:
* Prepare all aspects of despatch liaising with ONFAB selected transport companies
* Liaise with couriers to arrange quotations, timelines, collections, onward shipping details and proof of delivery
* Arrange shipments and negotiate shipping rates
* Create manufacturing packs, packing lists, bills of material and certificates of conformity
* Track and trace shipments with couriers after dispatch to ensure on time delivery
* Update distribution spreadsheets
* Work with couriers to clear shipments through customs, maintaining logs and filing
* Complete paperwork and monetary transactions associated with international distribution
* Manage export controlled products for dual use and review export sanctions as required
* Communicate effectively with customers for ongoing distribution protocols
* Develop and implement export strategies to maximise profits and minimise costs
* Perform risk assessments on high value shipments
* Prepare export documentation
* Establish and manage relationships with international partners, including distributors, agents and vendors
About You
To join us as our Export Administrator, you will need:
* Maths and English GCSE level educational qualifications or equivalent (minimum grades A-C)
* Office administration experience within a collaborative and challenging environment and ideally within logistics
* Sage Accounts/manufacturing experience
* Excellent communication skills and an ability to liaise effectively with others
* Excellent problem solving skills
* High attention to detail
* Creative thinking, ability to come up with new ideas
* Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines whilst working on own initiative
* Ability to work well under pressure and to multi-task
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Strong organisational and planning skills
* A commitment to improve your own customer service skills on an ongoing basis
* A sound working knowledge of IT systems including MS office applications
* Cultural awareness and ability to work with customers across multiple countries
