Pure Search are instructed by a leading Legal 500 ranked firm for Sport who are looking to grow their Sports, Media and Entertainment group.
The Firm:
Our client is an entrepreneurial firm synonymous with the media, sports and tech space. They work at the cutting edge of the sports industry to help some of the most prominent companies and individuals. In particular, they have strengths in licensing contracts, governance, image rights, commercial contracts and the staging of major live sporting events.
Notable clients include Premier League football teams, international athletes, Formula E teams, international cricket teams, sports media groups and a range of global sports brands.
The Role:
This is a unique opportunity to work alongside partners and senior lawyers who are ranked as some of the leading names in Sport. The role will provide high levels of client contact and will therefore suit someone that is confident and outgoing but also technically strong.
Responsibilities include:
1. Advising on player contracts and transfers;
2. Advising on sports sponsorship including brand sponsorship of major events and teams;
3. Broadcasting and exploitation of sports rights including digital media;
4. Sports regulatory issues;
5. Advising on image rights, athlete endorsement contracts and athlete representation;
6. Advising on eSports, interactive entertainment and emerging technologies;
7. Live events including event management, venue agreements and participation.
About You:
You will be a commercial lawyer with 2-5 years post-qualification experience. Previous experience of commercial sports law is essential. Our client will consider candidates from both private practice and in-house backgrounds considering a move back to private practice. You will have a stellar academic background and a genuine desire to develop a specialism as a leading commercial lawyer in the sports industry.
