About the role
We are delighted to share that we have an excellent opportunity for a Digital Manufacturing Data Analyst to join us within our Shieldhall site.
Shieldhall packages a huge volume of Scotch malt whiskies, white spirits and ready to drink brands to supply over 170 countries around the world and is a key manufacturing site within the Scotch supply category.

As a Data Analyst within our Diageo Manufacturing team, you will play a pivotal role ingathering, analysing, and interpreting data to drive informed decision-making processes. You will work with current systems, creating dashboards and reports to visualise data; and work with new technologiesto streamline processes.
This role is key to delivering the digital implementation plan. You will work with cross functional teams across the manufacturing site to imbed new technologies and improve ways of working. You will be required to coach, train, and communicate at all levels on site. We are looking for someone with a passion for technology and a strive to win approach to push boundaries and achieve new levels of performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work with teams to analyse large datasets from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
2. Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports (primarily using Power BI) to visualize, display and communicate key insights.
3. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data requirements and provide accurate and relevant reports.
4. Conduct ad-hoc data analysis to support business objectives and provide actionable recommendations.
5. Create apps (primarily using Power Apps) to streamline current work processes.
6. Manage data governance within digital projects and systems across site. Ensuring data integrity and quality through data cleansing, validation, and documentation.
7. Responsible for ongoing use of digital systems, including support with daily issues.
8. Ensure that any improvements implemented are standardised and sustained within operations teams (sharing best practice).
9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to data analysis.

12. You’ll have the drive and enthusiasm to make a positive difference to manufacturing excellence and show your excellent communication skills.
For this role you will ideally understand manufacturing operations and experience in the required digital tools.
13. Strong proficiency in Power BI, including data modelling, report development, and visualization.
14. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerApps) for data manipulation, analysis, and presentation.
15. An understanding of SQL and experience with data querying, manipulation, and transformation is preferred but not essential.
