The Children’s Therapies Team is an integrated therapies team providing Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Specialist Nurse Advisors, and Care Co-ordinators to children 0 – 19 years within KCHFT.
We currently have 3 Band 6 Speech and Language Therapy posts available on a fixed-term basis for 1 year (start date negotiable), giving the successful candidate the opportunity to work within our Early Years team and/or our School Years team. Full-time and part-time will be considered.
The Early Years sessions are based in one of our community clinics in Canterbury and Thanet, where you will be able to work alongside some of our experienced Clinical Specialists. The School Years sessions are within our mainstream school service where you will be working with a team of Speech and Language Therapists and our Specialist Teacher offering a range of universal, targeted, and specialist service delivery options under the Balanced System model.
We currently offer a hybrid work pattern for staff with face-to-face sessions offered from clinics and within the community, and also sessions worked remotely from home.
We work closely with colleagues from other health, education, and social care teams to provide an integrated team around the child approach.

2. To deliver evidence-based SLT interventions for children that support them in achieving their identified health outcomes.
