About the opportunity Energy Power Programmes are delivering client critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Energy Power station. Working in both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. Amentum are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Lead Systems Engineer to support the development, documentation, and integration of diverse electrical and safety systems within a complex engineering project environment. You'll play a key role in the design and operation of EPR systems during design, construction, and commissioning phases-ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance throughout. Key responsibilities will be: Produce, review, and update system documentation for a variety of diverse systems (ranging from electrical to hydrogen detection), including: Operator instructions, Human-machine interface (HMI) design, Safety and environmental specifications, Control logic design, Periodic testing documentation Ensure documentation and designs comply with engineering rules, methodologies, quality standards, and digital tools Manage technical interfaces with other disciplines involved in radioprotection equipment contracts Oversee system design and operation throughout the EPR lifecycle (design, construction, commissioning) in line with regulatory and safety requirements Integrate mechanical diagrams, functional diagrams, and 3D models into the relevant tools and systems Handle modification requests from engineering teams-validate, challenge, and coordinate implementation based on feasibility and coherence Participate in experience sharing (OPEX) activities, incorporating feedback and lessons learned from other projects Qualifications Background in electrical, systems, or process engineering Experience in nuclear or oil & gas sectors Familiarity with RCC-E technical regulations and electrical reference standards such as NFC15-100, NF C 13-200, BS7671, and IEC 60909 Understanding of instrumentation, radioprotection equipment, or experience in design, procurement, testing, or installation in a regulated environment Strong documentation, coordination, and interface management skills Our Culture Our values stand on a foundation of safety, integrity, inclusion and diversity.
