Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with a Geotechnical & Investigation Services Company to recruit a Geo-Environmental Engineer for its South Wales site.
The Geo-Environmental Engineer role comes with a salary of £30,000 - £35,000.

Responsibilities and Duties
1. Supervise intrusive investigation activities such as drilling, trial pitting and in-situ testing.
2. Set up and organise ground investigation works.
3. Display sound leadership and can work independently where required and problem solve.
Professional Qualifications
1. BSc degree level qualified in geology/earth sciences or a related environmental subject.
2. Previous UK ground investigation site experience is essential, and knowledge of the various techniques employed.
3. Full UK driving licence essential.
Personal Skills
1. Familiar with and able to interpret geological maps and published geological data.
2. Experienced with geotechnical in-situ testing e.g. CBR, Plate Bearing, TRL DCP & Soakaway testing.
3. Knowledgeable in geotechnical studies including a good understanding of basic soil mechanics.
Salary and Benefits of the Geo-Environmental Engineer Role
1. £30,000 - £35,000.
2. 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
