About the job
We are looking for a keen and driven Parts Team Leader to join our existing parts team at Inverurie Garden & Machinery Centre.
Job role:
* First point of contact for customers with parts enquiries
* Responsible for the communication, preparation and planning with Workshop Manager of all Workshop bookings
* Face to face, telephone and email enquiries/bookings from customers (and passing on information correctly)
* Retail invoicing as required
* Maintain the highest standards of customer contact and communications throughout their visit
* Liaising with all internal departments; Service colleagues, Sales Executives, Engineers and Parts Advisor.
* Partake in internal and external audits to ensure standards are maintained
Role Purpose:
Reporting to the Machinery Director, you will be responsible for the overall efficient running of the Parts Department. This will include the Workshop and goods inward area, and the overall departmental profitability as well as maintaining effective and accurate communications between customers and the Parts/Workshop team.
As the Parts Team Leader, you will be integral to providing support not only internally, to our Sales and Service Department, but to some major key accounts and customers.
Essential Skills/Experience:
* Experience and good knowledge of ATV and/or Garden Machinery products and parts is advantageous
* Previous supervisory experience is desirable
* Excellent communication skills
* Remain calm under pressure
* Be organised and have the ability to multitask efficiently
* Be proactive and methodical in approach to problem solving
* Act with discretion when dealing with matters of a confidential nature
* Able to work alone and on your own initiative
* Have an excellent level of IT skills
* Strong attention to detail
Additional Information:
Start Date: January 2025
Location: Inverurie Garden & Machinery Centre, AB51 8UT
Working Hours: 8am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday
*Additional hours as required to include Saturdays on rota and at peak times
Contract: Permanent, Full time, Salaried
Salary: £Competitive, depending on experience
