This role will be working within the Dorset Intelligence & Insight Service (DiiS), the Dorset wide service responsible for linking data and intelligence for all Dorset health and care partners to turn into actionable insights benefiting the whole population. DiiS works across the Dorset NHS Trusts, Local Authorities, Integrated Care Board (ICB) and other Integrated Care System (ICS) partners. The team works closely with a variety of clinicians and operational teams as well as the Population Health Management (PHM) team and uses detailed domain knowledge to develop solutions that create a positive impact in the system and for the population.
Working within the DiiS you will be instrumental in the design and delivery of Dorset's approach to population analytics. You will be working collaboratively with system stakeholders ensuring that analytical programme plans are developed, maintained, and delivered and remain delivering to a high standard.

Dorset ICS is made up of: NHS Dorset Integrated Care Board, University Hospitals Dorset Foundation Trust, Dorset County Hospital Foundation Trust, Dorset HealthCare University Foundation Trust, Dorset Council, Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole Council, 194 town and parish councils, 18 primary care networks (made up of 80 GP practices), South Western Ambulance Service Foundation Trust, Dorset Police, Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service, 7,300 voluntary organisations. As a dynamic and enthusiastic Lead Analyst, you will be responsible for managing a team of analysts working across project and service delivery models to deliver the complex and exciting DiiS workload. You will be responsible for designing the user experience of DiiS and supporting its ongoing development as a cutting-edge solution for the Dorset health and care services.
You will be capable of demonstrating a methodical and structured approach to analysing, interpreting and advising on complex data or information, and to support and coach others to be able to do the same.
The role will offer opportunities to set the standards and lead on the use of data and information throughout the DiiS and wider Integrated Care System (ICS) in order to bring business intelligence and data analytics to the forefront of shaping patient care and population health. Additionally, the ability to learn, develop and coach enhanced analytics to the DiiS and wider ICS analytical teams building a culture of analytics throughout that community alongside the Data & Analytics Centre of Excellence (DACOE).
The post holder will be key to collaboration across BI teams and the Integrated Care Board (ICB) within the ICS, introduce defined standards on reporting and presenting; drive best practice and ensure effective usage of analytical solutions across the ICS. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities for using new and emerging analytical techniques and embedding their use across the team, and analytical partners within the ICS.
In addition to proven experience and a progressive outlook, you will be able to demonstrate an ability to motivate others to achieve positive outcomes, meet tight deadlines and objectives, and aspire to deliver innovative technological solutions for the NHS in a digital age.
