Workshop Manager in Bicester.
1. Starting salary around £45,000 per annum (negotiable pending skills/experience).

Due to continued business expansion our client, a UK-based specialist manufacturer of low volume, high quality, speedster cars, are currently looking to recruit a Workshop Manager for their head office in Bicester on a full-time permanent basis.
Reporting the Business Owners and working as part of a friendly team, your responsibilities as a Workshop Manager will include:
4. Leading and motivating the workshop team including:Supervising Research & Development (R&D), Build and Service Technicians.
5. Overseeing daily workflow and workload schedules.
6. Managing, and introducing, workshop systems, processes, and hygiene.
7. Project managing workshop improvements.
8. Problem solving with R&D and Build teams including management of feedback of engineering changes on development and production builds.
9. Assisting with developing vehicle testing program including DFMEA.
10. Dynamic testing and refinement of current and future projects.
11. Assisting with hands on build of development and production cars.
12. Being part of the recruitment team for Technicians and Apprentices.
13. Representing the company to customers and visitors on site and at company events.
In to be eligible you will need roughly 8/10+ years appropriate engineering/technical supervisory/management experience working to the highest standards, to deadlines and within budget alongside some familiarity with motorsport/classic/kit/niche car repair or manufacture with your own stocked toolbox and a UK driving licence with minimal points. You will have a track record of successful supervision with the interpersonal skills required to work in a small team, have proven organisational and administrative skills, particularly with attention to detail, a flexibility and adaptability to pro-actively manage a range of different projects and jobs at the same time, and be IT literate and have competency with MS software packages and experience of ERP/CRM systems.
