About the opportunity: A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to work within our Medical & Sports Science Team as Senior Physiotherapist – Women’s Team, with day-to-day operations being focussed on elite medical service, supporting both fit and injured players concurrently.
Reporting into our Director of Women’s Football Operations you will operate as an expert within the field of physiotherapy, which includes specialised assessment, on-going treatment, and emergency first aid care for match days and training.
You will be a key member of the team and ensure efficient and effective functioning of the department, completing prehab and rehab strategies as well as supporting the coordination of physiotherapy services and medical arrangements.
Who we are looking for: We are looking for a talented and passionate individual who has experience of working within elite sport, which does not necessarily need to be football.
You must be comfortable working with a wide variety of injuries and flexible enough to rotate into a travelling performance team that supports our elite players through competitive fixtures, both home and away.
We need someone who possess the ability to work discreetly under pressure, but also as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and can evidence on-going CPD in major speciality of their work portfolio.
It is essential that the successful candidate has the following educational experience;
MSc in Physiotherapy
Registered member of the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) with adequate indemnity insurance
Bronze, Silver or Gold ACPSM physiotherapy
FA Advanced Trauma Medical Management in Football (ATMMiF)
Have appropriate medical indemnity to treat/advise Professional Players
Satisfactory background check in respect to Child Protection
This role is on a permanent bases working 40 hours per week and is based within Finch Farm training ground in Liverpool (Halewood).
