What the Job Involves As a Developer Contributions Principal Planner, you report to the Developer Contributions Team Leader and are responsible for leading the work program of developer contributions, including policy development, negotiation, and the effective monitoring of planning obligations and the CIL program. Your role involves initiating, developing, delivering, evaluating, and managing CIL systems and S106 agreements. You process planning obligations and CIL monies, enforce planning obligations, and drive infrastructure projects in Newham. Additionally, you handle complex casework, engage with developers, agents, architects, and external stakeholders to facilitate high-quality development in the borough. You ensure compliance with planning obligations, assess and make judgments on planning themes, and manage operational responsibilities, including financial and non-financial matters. You lead a team and participate in corporate projects to align infrastructure delivery with borough development, collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
