About the Role:
Knauf is seeking a passionate, experienced, and reliable Trade Store Manager to join our ambitious team. This role will be based in Rockhampton, QLD.
Reporting to the General Manager - Central QLD, this role is responsible for ensuring the efficient management and development of a major trade store and personnel in accordance with the company’s strategic plans, values, operating budgets, and policies.
Role Responsibilities:
* Maintain and build relationships between Knauf and its customers by demonstrating unwavering commitment to customer service.
* Provide leadership and management of trade store personnel.
* Establish and maintain a productive, cooperative team environment where customer service is paramount and sales KPIs are achieved.
* Ensure financial compliance and due diligence on site.
* Management systems are completed within the agreed scheduled timeframes.
* Effectively manage trade store profit & loss whilst implementing strategies to effect change where required.
* Full responsibility for managing site inventory.
* Provide management with industry relevant market intelligence.
* Effectively manage sales and promotional activities at the trade store.
* Manage transport resources to ensure a safe and efficient delivery service.

* Able to work in high demand and busy/pressured work environments.
* Builds and sustains positive relationships with team members, customers, and other stakeholders.
* Demonstrates leadership.
* Ability to prioritize demands between both internal and external customers and other stakeholders.
* Identifies development opportunities for self and team.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Responds to demands quickly and efficiently.
* Background or experience in sales, distribution, or customer service.
* Competent in the use of Microsoft Office and other IT relevant applications.
* High level negotiation skills.
* Competent in project management or willing to learn.
* Forklift License (preferred but not essential and must be willing to obtain one).
