Responsibilities:
* Risk Assessment & Management: Identify, assess, and monitor enterprise and operational risks across business units and functions.
* Risk Reporting: Develop and maintain risk management reports and dashboards for senior stakeholders and regulators.
* Policy Development: Create, implement, and review risk management policies and frameworks to align with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
* Incident Response & Mitigation: Lead investigations and analysis of risk events, ensuring appropriate action plans and mitigations are put in place.
* Compliance Monitoring: Ensure compliance with insurance regulations, industry best practices, and internal control frameworks.
* Training & Awareness: Provide ongoing training and guidance to teams to increase risk awareness and adherence to risk management processes.
* Third-Party Risk Management: Assess and manage risks arising from third-party relationships, including suppliers, brokers, and reinsurers.
Skills/Experience:
* Risk Management Expertise: Proven experience in enterprise and operational risk management within the insurance or financial services sector.
* Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of UK and international insurance regulations (e.g., Solvency II, FCA, PRA) and compliance requirements.
* Data Analysis & Reporting: Strong analytical skills, with experience in data-driven risk reporting, trend analysis, and key risk indicator (KRI) development.
* Stakeholder Management: Ability to engage with senior executives, business units, and external regulators on risk matters.
* Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills to address complex risk-related challenges.
* Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate risk issues and mitigation strategies clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
