Teaching Assistant Level 2 Key Stage 2 G4 .6 - .11
Required from Easter 2025- 28 hours a week term time only (or sooner if possible)
Due to an increase in the number of SEND pupils, the Governors wish to appoint a caring and experienced practitioner preferably with a background of supporting children in Key Stage 2.
Job Requirements:
1. To support the learning of all children in the classroom;
2. The enthusiasm to work with children and support the teachers to help children flourish;
3. Able to engage well with pupils and staff; reinforce lessons presented by teachers by reviewing material with students one-on-one or in small groups;
4. Help teachers with recordkeeping and assessment;
5. Help teachers prepare for lessons by getting materials ready or setting up equipment, such as computers;
6. Help supervise students in class, between classes, during lunch and break, and on field trips;
7. Give extra help to children with special needs or those for whom English is not their first language;
8. Be supportive of our Christian ethos of going above and beyond to nurture and care for our children.
What we are looking for:
1. A level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent;
2. Experience of working with children in Key Stage 2 in schools;
3. Experience of working with children with SEN;
4. A good level of Maths/English - GCSE C or equivalent/a good level of Standard English;
5. A good communicator, a sense of humour and a team player.
