Description Arconic is currently in search of an Environmental Specialist to join our EHS Team in Kitts Green, Birmingham. Responsibilities Key Objectives Conduct environmental monitoring and reporting on schedules defined by environmental permits, UK guidance, and Arconic Corporate standards. Maintain and monitor existing environmental program controls. Keep abreast of UK legislation and assess and act upon changes that impact upon the organisation. Corporate protocols are complied with and ensure that practices and procedures in place produce the desired results. Management of site waste contract. Management of operational budget of approx. £500K pa. What you'll do Oversee and coordinating environmental aspects of the site operations to ensure ongoing compliance with legal and other requirements. Conduct and organizing reporting, monitoring, data collection, and other activities as required by UK legislation, Arconic Corporate, and local leadership. Coordinate and supporting efforts relating to Arconic’s ‘REAL 2030’ ESG targets, certification to the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) and related programs and improvements. Lead and support environmental improvements across range of issues in all areas of facility. Develop strategies, practices and procedures that reduce environmental risk, add layers of protection, and improve performance in relevant aspects Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance at Arconic Manufacturing (GB) Ltd., and be integral in their implementation. Monitor and maintenance of existing controls to ensure their sustainable and effective application.
