The role – Head of Health & Safety We are currently looking for a Head of Health & Safety to join the RenEco Group. The role is focused on managing a wide range of Health and Safety management activities to ensure a consistent and pro-active approach to Health and Safety. You will report directly to the Senior Management team, and you will work with key stake holders in the delivery and implementation of initiatives for ensuring our current standards are met and continual improvement. You will lead an effective team to oversee and manage Health and Safety across our diverse range of operational activities including heavy engineering and maintenance, haulage, anaerobic digestion and biogas production. The responsibilities of the Head of Health & Safety are spread across two main sites which are based in Northamptonshire and Lincolnshire, with majority of the time spent at our site in Northamptonshire. What you will do within the position Ensuring the implementation of Health & Safety policies and procedures in line with our ISO 45001 accreditation; develop, implement, maintain and communicate. Monitor site risk assessment process and provide assistance / advice to ensure site risk assessments / safe systems of work are maintained and meet regulatory requirements Working with and supporting department managers to continually evaluate working practices and drive forward efforts to enhance safety culture Identification and coordination of HSE training and development for managers, enabling effective management of Health & Safety in every respect and ensuring that key personnel involved in Health & Safety activities are competent to fulfil their responsibilities Conduct regular site safety inspections and risk assessments; observing, reporting, recommending and implementing initiatives Responsibility for conducting investigations with regards to accidents, incidents and near misses; reporting findings and recommendations to then implement for continual improvement Working with the HR and Training department to conduct Health and Safety onboarding for new employees and providing ongoing safety and compliance training across the teams Reporting to the Senior Management team on Health and Safety performance, analysing trends and developing action plans What you will need A recognised qualification in H&S (NEBOSH or equivalent) Proven experience in a similar position; ideally within engineering or construction Strong technical knowledge with regards to health and safety legislation, compliance and regulations Strong communication skills and adept at positively influencing and engaging at all levels within an organisation What RenEco can offer you… Competitive salary package Fully financed company vehicle Life Assurance Well-being support and Health Care Cash Plan
