One Week - Sunday Night to Wednesday Night - 19:45 - 06:15
Second Week - Tuesday Night to Friday Night - 19:45 - 06:15

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineer with expertise in both mechanical and electrical engineering to join our dynamic maintenance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our FMCG manufacturing facility by maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving equipment, particularly in the areas of conveyors, motors, belts, and pumps.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance and Repair:
o Conduct regular preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment, including conveyors, motors, belts, and pumps.
o Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient resolution.
o Perform mechanical and electrical repairs, including rewiring and component replacement, to ensure equipment reliability.
2. Fault Finding:
o Utilize advanced fault-finding techniques to quickly identify and rectify issues within the production line.
o Work closely with the production team to understand recurring issues and implement long-term solutions.
3. Compliance and Safety:
o Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and other relevant safety standards.
o Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work completed, parts used, and safety checks performed.
4. Installation and Upgrades:
o Assist with the installation of new machinery and equipment, ensuring proper integration into existing systems.
o Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to upgrade or modify existing equipment to enhance performance and efficiency.
5. Team Collaboration:
o Work as part of a multi-skilled maintenance team, providing support and expertise as needed.
o Liaise with external contractors and suppliers when necessary to source parts and services.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
* NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant discipline).
* Strong experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance within an FMCG manufacturing environment.
* In-depth knowledge of conveyors, motors, belts, and pumps.
* Proficient in fault finding and repairing electrical and mechanical systems.
* Competency in rewiring and adherence to the 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations would be advantageous, but isn't essential.
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices.
