Forest School / Outdoor Education Teacher

Fixed-term post for 12 months. (May be available as a secondment)

The Governing Body of Harton Primary School is looking to appoint an experienced qualified teacher who is dynamic and driven to join our thriving school. The successful candidate will run our new forest school provision, providing forest school sessions as PPA cover for children in Early Years and Key Stage One, as well as offering sessions in Key Stage Two linked to identified curriculum areas. In addition, they will offer lessons across the school using our allotment as a catalyst for learning in Science and DT. They will also explore further opportunities to use our local outdoor environment to enhance our curriculum offer.
You must be an excellent primary practitioner with a passion for outdoor learning. The successful candidate must either already hold a forest school leader qualification (Level 3), or be willing to work towards achieving this.
You must be comfortable working across the whole primary phase, but with a keen interest in the Early Years. You must be self-motivated but also an excellent team player, able to adapt to working across multiple teams.
Shortlisting will take place: 11 April 2025
Shortlisted candidates may be invited to tour the school and view the forest school site in the week beginning 28 April 2025
Interviews and observations will take place: Week beginning 5 May 2025
