As an eLearning Designer, you will lead our digital learning initiatives, creating engaging and interactive eLearning solutions that align with Make UK’s goals. This is an exciting opportunity to innovate and develop content that supports the growth of the manufacturing workforce.
Key Responsibilities
* Instructional Design: Create eLearning courses using established instructional design principles, ensuring content is tailored to both the subject matter and the learners' needs.
* Content Development: Design visually appealing and interactive digital learning materials, including videos, simulations, assessments, and animations, utilizing authoring tools such as Articulate 360.
* Collaboration: Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs), stakeholders, and trainers to gather content requirements and transform them into impactful learning solutions.
* User Experience: Enhance eLearning experiences to be intuitive, accessible, and responsive across various devices.
* Quality Assurance: Perform thorough testing of eLearning modules to ensure they meet technical, usability, and accessibility standards.
* Learning Management Systems (LMS): Manage and upload eLearning content to the LMS, ensuring smooth user access and tracking of learner progress.
* Innovation: Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in digital learning to continually improve Make UK’s training offerings.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in designing and developing eLearning content for corporate or educational settings.
* Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline).
* Strong grasp of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and digital learning trends.
* Familiarity with LMS platforms and SCORM/AICC standards.
* Excellent visual design skills, with experience in graphic design software.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with experience working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
* Capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Skills
* Experience in video production or editing (e.g., Camtasia, Premiere Pro).
* Knowledge of gamification and interactive learning tools.
* Experience in the manufacturing or training sectors is a plus.
